Senior Wealth Management Advisor
Carlos Prince
Some advisors manage money. I help families build their legacies.
As a Senior Wealth Management Advisor at Legacy Edge Advisors — an independent RIA — I lead meaningful conversations with families about what truly matters to them: their dreams, their milestones, and the retirement they’ve worked hard to earn. Through a personalized, white-glove financial planning process, I identify the challenges standing between where my clients are today and where they want to be, then bring the right financial instruments to the table to get them there.
My passion for this work didn’t come from a textbook. It came from lived experience. I’m a first-generation Colombian-American, and I know firsthand what it means to chase the American Dream from the ground up. My mother, Edna, was the first in our entire family to immigrate to the United States — sacrificing everything familiar to plant a flag and build something new. She is the reason I do what I do. Every client I serve, every family I guide, is an extension of the legacy she started.
My career in financial services spans more than 25 years, beginning in mortgage and home financing — because homeownership was never just a product to me; it was a dream I understood personally. That foundation led me through advisor roles at TIAA and Fidelity Investments, where I built the relationships that still anchor my practice today. Many of the clients I serve have walked alongside me for 14 years or more — through market cycles, milestones, and the kinds of life chapters you can’t outsource to an algorithm.
This past year, I took the most significant step of my career: launching my own independent practice and partnering with Legacy Edge Advisors. As part of an independent RIA, I serve my clients without the constraints of proprietary products or competing corporate interests — only the open mandate to do what’s right for the families across my table. It is, without question, the most purposeful work I’ve ever done.
Beyond the office, I invest in the community that shaped me. I’m actively involved in organizations focused on financial literacy, women’s rights, Latino initiatives, and support for those with limited resources. These aren’t causes I support from a distance — they’re causes I fight for, because I know the difference access and education can make in a family’s trajectory.
I’m also proud to be the first in my family to earn a four-year college degree, completing my Organizational Leadership degree at Wilmington University — graduating Cum Laude and inducted into the Delta Epsilon Rho Academic Honor Society. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to serve a broader range of families with clarity and cultural connection.
But my greatest title? Dad. To Gabriella (13, future theatre star) and Julian (9, guitarist in training). You’ll find me on the sidelines coaching their baseball, softball, and soccer teams with the Del-Riv Youth Sports Association — front row for every moment.
If you’re ready to have a real conversation about your family’s financial future, I’d love to connect and pick up where you left off.
